The Quaker Valley Track team this 2021-2022 school year rocked almost every opposing school. The team was a formidable opponent who ended up winning the WPIAL championship. After they guaranteed their win, the bus full of champions was escorted back to the high school with police cars and fire trucks leading the way.
The team had many successes at WIPIALS, but the standout participants of the team are Ellie Cain who earned first place in the 800-meters and Nora Johns who received first in the 300-meter hurdles. There were an impressive number of other wins from girls in every single grade, and there was no shortage of wins from the boys’ track team, either.
When asked what she is most proud of this season, sophomore Ellie Cain described, “My team. I’m just really excited we made it this far, because last year, it was a much smaller team, and we feel really close this year.”
The track team better get our own tent after this. Just sayin 👀
