Quaker Valley High School students performed the classic musical My Fair Lady during the weekend of March 7 this year. The performances took place in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m. each night, with one 2 p.m. matinee on March 8.

In addition to the public performance, the QVHS Key Club and the cast and crew of My Fair Lady hosted a spaghetti dinner and preview performance on Wednesday, March 5 for local senior citizens looking to see the production. The night was a great success with over a hundred senior citizens in attendance. Dr. Riccobelli and Mr. Orelli even helped serve the dinner.

Students were thrilled to take part in this beloved Broadway classic, often called “the perfect musical.” The show featured a set that resembled an early twentieth century London and costumes lavishly designed to reflect the time period.

Freshman Hannah Olawaiye commented on her favorite musical memory, which was a rap battle between cast members: "Alayna (Gill) told Bennett (Wyche) that he needed to make a rap, and so they had a rap battle. It was hilarious."

Gill agreed "The rap battle was crazy."

Alayna Gill comments on her favorite musical memory and experience as a freshman in the play: "I think the tech day was really fun. I got to spend time with some of the cast members and get closer to them. It was kind of empowering for myself as I started to become friends with upperclassmen."

The show was a major success and the QVHS Musical department will be releasing the 2026 musical soon!
